On September 13th, a client contacted us with a request: "Looking for a custom space themed escape room in Texas. for November 11th».
A client from the event industry and for a corporate event (5 days event), she needed a mini-escape room.
The deadline is short, especially considering the delivery time, so after discussing all the details, we came up with a scenario from our "typical" riddles from the catalog.
The client wanted a mini-escape room with a game duration of 20 minutes, which means that the optimal number of puzzles is 6 pieces.
The riddles we used:
1. 15-puzzle with electronics
2. Map puzzle
3. Magic mirror
4. Rainbow sliders (RGB)
5. Gas detector
6. Picture with missing details
Game logic and a sequence of riddles.
All puzzles are in “sleep” mode, that is, locks/doors, where applicable, are closed.
There are no light and sound effects, and there is NO reaction to interacting with props.
Only one riddle “does not sleep” – tag puzzle (15-puzzle).
1. 15 puzzle
Players need to “solve” the puzzle.
Result:
activation of all puzzles: turning on sounds and activating lighting effects, where applicable (map, gas detector, RGB).
a separate box opens (box No.1), where the marks from the map (next puzzle)
2. The riddle “map”
The players put marks to the correct places, as a result, the built-in box opens, where the parts for the “mirror" are located.
3. The magic “mirror” prop
The players insert the mirror elements into the upper part, the backlight with the print is activated. The print contains a hint to the next puzzle “RGB”.
4. “RGB” puzzle
The players, using the hint from p.3, set the correct combination.
Result:
activation of the gas detector (before that the gas detector was not fully activated).
5. Gas detector puzzle
The players solve the gas detector, as a result, the built-in drawer opens. Inside are the details from the next puzzle: picture with missing details.
6. Picture with missing details puzzle
Using the details from p.5, the players put them in the correct position, as a result of which the built-in drawer opens (with something inside).
The end of the game.
